Your Year in Review
There is something new and exciting about a brand new year. A clean slate – a blank canvas. You're an artist with a paintbrush and a palate of paint ready to dream and create new possibilities and opportunities for your life. It is time to capture the magic of the season and start setting those personal and professional goals to create a life that means something to you on your terms.
As you embark on 2019, it is important to take some time to reflect and assess the past year. You have to know where you are so you can get to where you want to be. The only way to know is to take some time to look back and reflect. Think of yourself as a scientist. You are doing research and collecting data.
When you look back on the past year it is possible that you will beat yourself for all the things you didn’t do or did wrong. You are your own worst critic. Right? Have you heard that saying, "Hindsight is 20/20? Nothing has ever been truer than this.
When you look back you are looking at it from the perspective that it has already happened. You see it from a different angle. It is easy to look back and judge what you did or the decisions you made. Looking back in this way doesn’t serve you.
Move on from anything that holds you back, pulls you down, and all those things you could of, would of and should have done. These things do nothing to serve you here at this moment. All they do is prevent you from moving forward!
2019 is going to be your best year yet. Taking time to reflect and assess is the first step.
