How realistic are the goals you’re setting for yourself?
Your goals should stretch and motivate you but they should not be so big and complex that you will lose interest or give up because they are just too much to handle.
When you are setting your goals it is important for you to carefully consider and address YOUR reality. If you don’t you are setting yourself up for failure.
This is the time to be brutally honest with yourself. When you are looking at the reality of your goals consider your knowledge, skills, resources, and time.
If your goal is to start going to the gym 5 days a week but you work 12 hour days with a commute. Reality check! This isn’t going to happen. I’m not saying that you can’t make it to the gym. Instead look at going 2 or 3 days a week and shorting your work day on those days. This might be a bit more realistic for you.
